Jeff Volek

 Jeff Volek, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the department of kinesiology at the University of Connecticut and is an adjunct in the nutrition sciences department. Volek co-founded the Nutrition and Metabolism Society and helps edit its journal, Nutrition & Metabolism. Much of his professional research has investigated the effects of low-carb diets as well as the health effects of various diet and exercises programs.

In 2002, he co-wrote The Testosterone Advantage Plan with Lou Schuler, Michael Mejia, and Adam Campbell. He has a forthcoming book co-authored with Campbell titled Men's Health TNT Diet: The Explosive New Plan to Blast Fat, Build Muscle, and Get Healthy in 12 Weeks.
